We are the Green B Board. Your local electronic bulletin board. In a global world, local communities can become lost in the clutter. You might be able to chat with new friends from around the world but do you know your neighbors? Do you keep in touch with them? Does the guy down the road from you need some help or does he have something to sell that you are looking for? Are you looking for local events to attend or local causes to support? Do you have a notice or news that you believe your neighbors might be interested in?

Here at the Green B Board our goal is to reconnect folks within their local community. It’s just like posting a ‘For Sale’, ‘Help Wanted’ or upcoming event flyer on the bulletin board at your local grocery store or in the local paper without the drive time, paper or ink! Save time and money while helping to clean up our environment and save trees one flyer at a time!

Terms & Conditions

Once your flyer or business ad has been accepted and successfully posted to the Green B Board you will no longer be eligible for a refund for any portion of your order. The content that you provide to us is the content we will post. We are not responsible for any defects or errors in the information which you provide to us. We strongly recommend that you double check your ad information and/or flyer prior to submission. Once submitted any errors or defects that you find can be corrected by submitting an ‘edited order’ along with the indicated ‘editing fee’ and original order number. In the rare instance that an error in your posting is created from our end we will correct it at no charge as soon as the error is brought to our attention.

We do not ‘police’ or censor any postings to this site with the following exceptions: We do not allow illegal, pornographic, spam or scam content. If you see this type of flyer posted to the Green B Board please notify us. If we determine it to be illegal, pornographic, spam or scam it will be removed, the poster will be banned and NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED. Please keep this site family friendly. Remember this is a local community bulletin board. You are talking to your neighbors. We don’t all need to agree but we should all be nice to one another. Remember the golden rule ‘do unto others as you would have them do unto you’.

Please post your flyers in the proper location. Business flyers cost a bit more than personal flyers and need to be posted as such. Charging less for personal flyers benefits us all. By encouraging personal flyer postings for bargain basement prices our bulletin board traffic increases, hence the number of folks viewing your business flyers greatly increases as well. We think you will find our business flyer and ad rates to be quite reasonable anyway. So there’s no need for you to try and get away with posting business flyers for the personal flyer rate. Doing so will eventually cause us to raise rates for everyone. Business flyers posted as personal flyers will be rejected and/or removed with NO REFUND being issued to the poster. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us to keep our rates as low as possible.

Our personal postings are offered for 7, 14, or 30 day time periods. Please help us keep our bulletin board clean by choosing the shortest appropriate time period for your ad (i.e. if you only have one item and expect it to sell quickly choose 7 days). Two days before your posting expires, if you signed up for an account, you will receive a notification giving you the option to renew your flyer at a discounted rate.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Best of all, the Green B Board is completely private! No memberships and no ad tracking! You don’t even need an account to post a flyer unless you want one! We at the Green B Board believe that the ads and pages that you look at online should be just as private as the flyers you look at on your local grocery store’s bulletin board. You don’t even need to create a login identity or even give us your name if you don’t want to. If prompted to provide this information when posting a flyer online, rest assured the Green B Board is not going to keep it or use it beyond the purpose of payment collection and will never target you with ads or sell your information to others. Your information is just that… YOURS!

The Green B Board will not knowingly give, sell, or otherwise transfer email addresses or phone numbers maintained by our electronic bulletin board site to any other party for the purposes of initiating, or enabling others to initiate, electronic mail messages except for persons viewing your posted flyers or ads with the express intent of contacting you regarding your posted notice or ad.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you choose to set up an account (opening an account is NOT necessary to browse our site or to post a flyer) and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you choose to set up an account, when you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

If you correspond with us via our email links we may retain all email correspondences for an indefinite period of time.

For users that register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

What we collect and store

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store. Our storefront website may collect the following information about you during the checkout process. If you wish to avoid having this information collected, simply email a digital PDF file of your flyer along with your full name to our ad department. Then mail a check for the amount due, plus a $1 processing fee to GBB, PO Box 577, Twin Bridges, MT 59754. Make sure to include your full name and flyer title with your payment. Your ad will be posted as soon as payment is received. You may also mail a hard copy of your flyer along with payment plus a $3 processing fee to us instead of a digital PDF and we will scan and process your hard copy flyer into a PDF for you.

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

Set up your account for our store (IF you choose to setup an account)

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it. For example we will only retain inactive accounts for 2 months, pending and/or failed orders for 5 days, cancelled orders for 2 days, digital copies of completed orders for up to 6 months (for our tax and accounting purposes, thereafter the data will be anonymized and kept in accordance with IRS business tax filing standards), and Stripe data for 2 days. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses. We will not knowingly disclose, sell, or otherwise use this information for any purpose other than those stated herein and as required by law.
